Not the only Macau junket in growth mode
Macau junket operator the Guangdong Group has opened a new VIP room at L’Arc, a casino hotel on the Macau peninsula. The group is also said to be interested in opening a room at MGM Cotai, a lavish HKD27 billion (US$3.45 billion) resort expected to open on the Cotai Strip this month.
The new club, at a property operated under the gaming license of SJM Holdings Ltd., is Guangdong’s eleventh club in Macau.
Another junket operator, Meg-Star International, told GGRAsia last month that it is preparing for “two new openings” of high-roller clubs in the city in 2018, one at MGM Cotai and one at City of Dreams Macau, a resort promoted by Melco Resorts & Entertainment Ltd. The opening dates for those two new clubs is yet to be disclosed.
