Gubernatorial Candidates On Sports Betting

Sports betting has not been a major issue among gubernatorial candidates in Western states. But several incumbents and their challengers have stated positions on sports betting—or not. Most candidates mildly support legal sports betting or have not taken a stand. Texas Governor Greg Abbott (l.), however, has said he is adamantly opposed to any gaming expansion during his re-election campaign.
