Bo Guidry has been named president at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, where a $1.5 billion expansion, set to debut October 24, will include a guitar-shaped hotel tower. In his new position, Guidry will be responsible for all operations and management of the casino resort. He replaces Auggie Cipollini, who has been promoted to president of Seminole Hard Rock Support Services.
For the past 10 years, Guidry served as senior vice president and general manager at Horseshoe Council Bluffs and Harrah’s Council Bluffs Hotel & Casino, both located in Council Bluffs, Iowa and owned by Caesars Entertainment Corp. He also managed Mid-America Center, an arena and convention center in the city of Council Bluffs.
Guidry also was vice president of operations and assistant general manager plus vice president of casino operations and vice president of food and beverage/hotel operations at Harrah’s Casino St. Louis—now Hollywood Casino St. Louis–in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Guidry’s casino career began in food and beverage at the Hilton New Orleans, followed by positions in food and beverage at casinos in Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe and the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas.
A Louisiana native, Guidry received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.
