Halfway Mark for Margaritaville Hotel in Oklahoma

The largest hotel in Tulsa is halfway complete as work progresses on the $365 million Margaritaville casino development underway in Tulsa and owned by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.

Fourteen of the 27 planned floors for the Margaritaville Hotel Tower in Tulsa have been built with the hotel expected to be topped in January.

The Jimmy Buffet-themed hotel is part of a $365 million improvement to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation’s casino, which formerly was known as the River Spirit Casino.

The 483-room tower would be the largest in Tulsa and provide 50,000 square feet of gaming space for 850 slot machines and 27 table games. It also would contain a Margaritaville restaurant and a Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse.

Other planned features include a riverfront entertainment area, pool deck, beach bar, spa, retail stores, a 30,000-square-foot convention center, and a parking structure for 1,500 vehicles.

The Margaritaville casino and resort complex is scheduled to be mostly completed by fall 2016, Tulsa World reported.
