Halle Leaving Novomatic

Jens Halle, managing director of Novomatic Group’s Austrian Gaming Industries and CEO of its North American subsidiary, will step down by the end of the year.

Jens Halle, the executive who built Austria’s Novomatic Group into Europe’s leading slot manufacturer and a growing international powerhouse, is leaving the company.

Novomatic announced that Halle will leave his joint positions as managing director of Novomatic’s Austrian Gaming Industries slot-making arm and CEO of Novomatic Americas Sales, its U.S. subsidiary, by the end of the year, by “mutual agreement.” No reason was given for the decision involving Halle, one of the most prominent figures in the international gaming industry.

I extend my appreciation to Mr. Jens Halle on behalf of the owner, the management board and the supervisory board, for his longstanding commitment,” said Herbert Lugmayr, chairman of the supervisory board of Novomatic AG. “Mr. Halle has made a significant contribution to the international orientation of this company. I wish him all the best for his future.”

“Fifteen years ago I was honored by the invitation of president and majority shareholder Professor Johann F. Graf to join the iconic Novomatic Group as head of sales,” said Halle. “Later, I was appointed managing director of Austrian Gaming Industries and, assisted by a loyal team of true gaming professionals, was able to see Novomatic achieve notable success not just in Europe but around the world.

“However, although I now feel the need for new challenges and new directions, I will always be grateful for the experience of working together with colleagues and friends and for the satisfaction that I gained from being within one of the gaming industry’s true leaders.”
