Hard Rock Becomes Latest Addition to F1 Las Vegas GP Sponsor List

Hard Rock International may be a new addition to the Las Vegas market through its recent acquisition of the Mirage, but it’s not wasting any time forming partnerships—the company recently announced that it has joined the list of presenting sponsors for the upcoming Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix, set to take place in mid-November.

As part of the deal, Hard Rock will host its own branded grandstand area along the Strip with a capacity of up to 3,000 fans. The tickets for the section will be split into a few separate phases—the first allotment will be made available to anyone who donated $7.77 to the Las Vegas Grand Prix Foundation starting March 22.

Then, the second wave will be made available on the Las Vegas Grand Prix website starting March 24. The final allotment will be reserved for those wishing to purchase Mirage room and ticket packages. Hard Rock has not yet set a date for the latter.

In addition to the grandstand, Hard Rock will also host a number of race-related events at the Mirage.

“From our involvement with the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix and as an official team partner of Oracle Red Bull Racing, we’re thrilled to continue to grow our involvement in the sport and know first-hand what it will take to plan and execute an extraordinary race experience in the sports and entertainment capital of the world,” Hard Rock Entertainment President Keith Sheldon said in a statement.

“Our event’s high intensity and energy are a great match for the excitement associated with the Hard Rock, and we look forward to providing fans with another opportunity to watch the race from an exciting vantage point on the Las Vegas Strip,” added Emily Prazer, chief commercial officer of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The event, which is slated to take place annually for at least the next 10 years, is expected to have an overall economic impact larger than that of the Super Bowl, which is coming February 2024. Some sources have estimated that the total figure will eclipse $1 billion.

The 3.8-mile track for the race is currently under construction.
