Auggie Cipollini recently was named president at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, South Florida’s largest gaming and entertainment complex, where he will be responsible for all operations and management.
Prior to joining Seminole Hard Rock, Cipollini was senior vice president of operations at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where he was responsible for all non-gaming operations–hospitality, food and beverage, retail, reservations, hotel sales, revenue management, project design and development, facilities and property maintenance, security and surveillance.
Cipollini joined Borgata in April, 2000 as director of development, and was promoted to vice president of finance in 2002, prior to the opening of Borgata in 2003. He was named senior vice president and chief administrative officer in 2006, and senior vice president of operations in 2009. Cipollini began his casino industry career in 1984 at Harrah’s Atlantic City, where he held a variety of management positions in financial accounting, financial reporting and casino accounting. As director of finance, he opened two casinos for Harrah’s in Tunica, Mississippi, and returned to Harrah’s Atlantic City as casino controller.
Cipollini, a certified public accountant, holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Widener University. He has served on the boards of numerous community service organizations in New Jersey.
