Hard Rock International was named one of the nation’s 11 best employers for women in the Travel & Leisure category by Forbes magazine. It’s the first time the publication included the category. Hard Rock International Senior Vice President of Human Resources David Carroll said, “All of us at Hard Rock are honored to be named by Forbes as one of 2018’s best employers for women. We are working hard to increase management opportunities for women through mentorship and training programs. While this ranking reflects our recent success, we consider it a starting point and we intend to build on it.”

Among the organizations in the Travel & Leisure category, Hard Rock International at #177 ranked ahead of Expedia Group at #186, MGM Resorts at #199 and Intercontinental Hotels Group at #284.

Forbes and market research company Statista surveyed 40,000 employees of companies with more than 1,000 workers to compile the 2018 list of the 300 Best Employers for Women in America. The 40,000 employees surveyed included 25,000 women. All of the surveys were anonymous.

Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, is one of two Native American-owned enterprises to make the list; the other is the Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce, located in Ada, Oklahoma.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida offers the Women of Seminole Gaming mentorship program, which is expanding to include executives from Hard Rock International. During the past two years, the program has helped to boost the percentage of women vice presidents from 20 to 27 percent of the total, and women working at the director level from 28 to 32 percent of the total.

Hard Rock International operates venues in 74 countries, including 185 cafes, 25 hotels and 12 casinos. The company owns and displays at its locations the world’s largest collection of music memorabilia.
