Hard Rock, KamaGames Launch Social Games

KamaGames, the biggest European social casino operator, has joined with Hard Rock International to launch a new app, Hard Rock Blackjack.

Hard Rock Blackjack, introduced in March, contains the most popular casino-style games in the KamaGames portfolio. The high-caliber, 3D versions of classic casino table games include roulette, craps, baccarat and of course, the core game, blackjack. The app includes other casino-style games such as slots and video poker, familiar to even the most casual of players.

Hard Rock Blackjack also includes a social poker game based on the Pokerist Texas Poker model, currently the world’s third-largest social poker game, along with Texas Hold’em and a number of other poker-based titles, including fan favorites Set Poker and Split Bet Poker.

Kresimir Spajic, Hard Rock senior vice president of online gaming and sports betting, told GGB News the social game suite is “ideal for beginners. It’s completely risk-free, free to play and has rules and game-play tips you need to learn craps, roulette, blackjack, poker and more. You can learn to play alone or with your friends at the same tables. It’s a great starting point for players unfamiliar with casino table games.”

Andrey Kuznetsov, CEO of KamaGames, agreed. “All our games are purely social—you do not need to spend a dime to try them. We provide all new players with a simple tutorial, and even if you lose some of your virtual chips, there’s really no need to worry, as we will give you some for free on a daily basis. You can also receive a number of generous bonuses for unlocking new achievements and accomplishing daily quests.

“Don’t forget,” he added, “only a single-digit percent of players actually pay—the majority just play and enjoy the games.”

The app offers unique “Party” modes and poker variations for players of every skill level. The games are available around the world, and offer instructions in 28 languages. Social interaction is possible via a range of creative chat options like in-game instant messenger and animated emojis. Players can also exchange gifts throughout the game.

Filling the Void

Asked why the two companies paired up on social games, Spajic said, “When you look at the table games social gaming market, KamaGames is far and away the market leader in both performance and quality of product—an ideal partner with whom to enter the space. The goal was to give players a similar experience to what they would have visiting one of the Hard Rock Casinos across North America, and KamaGames did a fantastic job of bringing that real casino experience to life.”

Up to 80 percent of gaming revenues come from slots, but that leaves 20 percent for the table-games space, “and there’s very limited competition in that area,” Spajic said. “Hard Rock sees this as a void to be filled. The Hard Rock Blackjack & Casino game is a great opportunity for Hard Rock players and fans to get that real casino experience online between trips to our casinos.”

The Top 10 highest-grossing social game genres are Match 3 (think Candy Crush, Clash of Clans, Fortnite, and social slots). “Table games such as blackjack, poker and roulette require some basic understanding of the game’s strategies,” said Kuznetzov.

But once players have rounded that initial learning curve, there’s lots to enjoy—and plenty of variety, too. The KamaGames-Hard Rock portfolio includes 10 games in one application, slots as well as table games.

The app is “a perfect expansion of our free-to-play games portfolio and a major draw for both current and new Hard Rock customers,” said Spajic.

Tournaments, Too

Hard Rock Blackjack will also play host to a range of competitive poker tournaments including Sit’n’Go, Shootout, multi-table tournaments (MTT) and weekly tournaments.

The partnership is expected to generate even more new slots, game modes, tournaments and events into the app.

Kuznetsov said the new partnership “uses our expertise, honed over many years in the social casino industry, to offer true entertainment value for Hard Rock International customers. We are happy to share this technology with Hard Rock to provide their loyal customers with a high-quality product which will give them even more opportunities to interact and engage with Hard Rock’s iconic, globally recognized brand.”
