Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain June 3 opened its 2,500-seat, 6,000-square-foot stage. The first group to perform at the Grand Opening was Maroon 5.
The new concert venue includes floor and tiered seating and balcony seating with a VIP area behind the curtain above the stage. The stage can be moved to accommodate music, boxing, corporate events or basketball.
It is part of a $75 million expansion by the Estom Yumeka Maidu Tribe of the Enterprise Rancheria, the owners of the resort. Tribal Chairman Glenda Nelson said in a statement: “We have created an amazing destination property coupled with an unparalleled partnership with Hard Rock International.” She added, “We are thrilled to complete our second phase of expansion in less than three years of operation, allowing us to expand all the ways we give back.”
Casino President Mark Birtha said in a statement: “Live music and entertainment are fundamental attributes of the Hard Rock brand.” He added, “We are so excited to be able to provide unmatched entertainment experiences from premier talent, in a venue unlike any other in the Sacramento region.”
Olivier Berthiaume-Berge, president and CEO of Sceno Plus, the design firm, told KCRA 3: “We really want this venue to scream Hard Rock, but this is like your Swiss knife of venues. So, it can do everything,” adding, “Always going to feel intimate and feel the energy from the stage. There’s no dead spot in the venue.” No seat is more than 140 feet from the stage.
Features include a 64-foot by 36-foot, 2,304-square-foot adjustable stage, 1,000 square feet of fully configurable LED screens.
The venue will include 40 pieces of Hard Rock memorabilia.
