The Hard Rock Hotel is growing its exhibition space, while PT’s Entertainment reached a new milestone with its 50th tavern opening.
The Hard Rock Hotel is adding 18,000 square feet of meetings and convention space as part of a $15 million expansion that brings its total events space to 110,000 square feet.
The project also is adding 5,000 square feet of storage and office space, and providing new signage on Paradise Road, where the hotel’s business center is located. The Hard Rock also is adding Cat 5 Ethernet cables, Wi-Fi, and customizable audio and lighting for mood enhancement during events.
Meanwhile, Golden Gaming-owned PT’s Entertainment Group at the end of May opened its 50th tavern at 6450 S. Durango in Las Vegas.
The new pub is the 27th pub Golden Gaming has added to its subsidiary since buying the PT’s franchise and its 23 taverns in 2002, and it shows PT’s has carved a successful niche market by creating a home-like atmosphere and serving reasonably priced food and drinks.
PT’s began as a one-pub operation in 1982, but rapidly grew until Golden Gaming and the Sartini family bought the company 14 years ago.
Since the change in ownership, PT’s improved the customer experience, along with its selection of drinks and menu items, and that has enabled the company to grow rapidly, along with the greater Las Vegas area in recent years.
PT’s now does business as PT’s Pubs, PT’s Ranch, PT’s Gold, Sierra Gold, and PT’s Brewing Company. It employs 800 Nevadans, and is planning to add another dozen taverns over the next two years.
