Orlando, Florida-based Hard Rock International has announced that Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park in Ohio has a new management team headed by Mark Birtha as president.
Birtha is currently senior vice president and general manager of the racino, which is located near Cleveland, a position he has held for about a year since he joined the company.
He will succeed Jon Lucas, who headed up the construction and December 2013 opening of the facility, which is the most productive of Ohio’s seven racinos. The succession was planned from the beginning, said a company spokesman. Lucas has moved to a position at Hard Rock corporate.
Birtha is a 20-year veteran of the casino and hospitality industry.
