Hard Rock Digital announced the opening of a retail sportsbook on July 8 at the temporary location of Bristol Casino, Future Home of Hard Rock in Virginia. The mobile app already is available.
Allie Evangelista, president of Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Bristol, said, “We can’t wait to welcome sports fans from across the region to our retail sportsbook location in Bristol. The Hard Rock Sportsbook mobile app will be an extension of our Bristol property, allowing sports fans to continue their legendary entertainment experience throughout Virginia.”
The temporary facility will include a 30,000-square foot gaming floor with 870 slots, 21 tables and a sportsbook, plus Mr. Lucky’s full-service restaurant. It’s expected to create 600 jobs.
The $300 million, 100,000-square foot permanent venue at the former Bristol Mall site will open in late 2023 and offer 2,700 slot machines and 100 table games, plus two hotel towers, 3,200-seat Hard Rock Live, 20,000-capacity outdoor entertainment venue, convention space and numerous restaurants, bars and retail shops. Hard Rock officials said it will create 1,000 construction jobs and 2,000 permanent jobs.
The Hard Rock Sportsbook app will offer users age 21 and over wagering on major sporting events, promotions and customer support. It includes same-game parlays, new reward features and additional deposit methods. It’s accessible to users physically located within Virginia and Arizona.
