Harrah’s New Orleans Opening Music Venue

A 35,000 square foot, 2,500-person music venue will open at Harrah's New Orleans. Officials expect the second-floor space to become a major downtown music attraction. Patrons age 21 or under still are barred from the first from but last year the state legislature allowed those individuals to access the second floor.

Harrah’s New Orleans Hotel and Casino announced it will renovate an unused area on its second floor to become a major music venue in the downtown area, to be called the Fillmore Theater. The 35,000 square foot entertainment space will hold 2,500 people in the main area and 400 in a secondary smaller space. Live National Entertainment will book the entertainment.

The casino already features a nightclub on the first floor, which is limited to persons age 21 or older. However, in 2016 state legislators passed a law allowing patrons under age 21 on the casino’s second floor.
