Hawkswood leaving Remote Gambling Association

Clive Hawkswood, chief executive of the online gambling trade body the Remote Gambling Association, said he will step down as leader of the organization. Hawkswood said he intends to leave in early 2019 and will help the association search for a successor.

Clive Hawkswood, the chief executive of the online gambling trade body the Remote Gambling Association, said he will step down as leader of the organization.

Hawkswood has led the association since 2005 and during his tenure it saw a significant expansion of membership as well as launching safer gambling initiatives.

Hawkswood leaves as the UK prepares to launch its new gambling self-exclusion program GamStop, which will be led by Fiona Palmer (CEO) alongside Jenny Watson CBE as chair.
