About 49 miles away, the tribe is pursuing an off-reservation casino in Beloit. The Bureau of Indian Affairs currently is reviewing the environmental impact statement for the project. If the BIA approves the EIS, Governor Tony Evers will have the final say on the project. Previously he said he supports it.
