Hollywood Perryville to Outsource Slot Operations

Hollywood Casino Perryville will outsource full slot technical services to Advanced Gaming Associates under a multi-year contract.

New Jersey-based Advanced Gaming Associates (AGA), along with Annapolis, Maryland-based Image Power, has signed a contract with Penn National Gaming’s Hollywood Perryville casino in Maryland to assume responsibility for full slot technical services at the casino, effective April 1.

AGA provides its turn-key slot services to both casino operators and manufacturers of games, systems, signs and related casino equipment. Image Power, which is certified as a Maryland Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), has participated in the initial installation of games at Hollywood Perryville, and oversaw the total installation of games at Maryland Live! and the Casino at Ocean Downs. Image Power is also the maintenance contractor for four gaming manufacturers in Maryland.

Under a multi-year agreement, the partners will be responsible for a complete range of service, maintenance and associated consulting covering the casino’s slot floor operation. This will encompass its current selection of 850 video lottery terminals along with all ticket redemption machines and currency counting equipment.

This contract follows upon a current project by the companies to utilize the AGA expertise and key services to update the slot floor and re-design the gaming layout for Hollywood Casino.

“We assessed how to best excel at having the right environment for our customers,” said Matthew Heiskell, general manager of Hollywood Casino Perryville. “We have worked closely with AGA’s highly qualified professionals on several other projects before, and determined this would be a logical extension of a good working relationship and the optimal way to operate our slot floor.”

“We look forward to providing our certified technicians and experienced gaming specialists, who will be accountable for all slot services from day-to-day staffing to comprehensive consultation and planning for Hollywood Casino Perryville,” said Tony Tomasello, AGA’s president and CEO.

“Although our services have been utilized by a number of casinos and have ranged from assistance with grand openings to ongoing maintenance, this marks the first time that we, and perhaps even any firms such as ours, will be fully responsible for all slot technical services at a property, and for such a long-term basis.”

“Image Power and Advanced Gaming Associates continue to be on the forefront of who casinos turn to and how they bring forth new operational procedures,” said Carroll H. Hynson, Jr., president and CEO of Image Power, Inc. “With the essential experience and expertise of AGA, we plan to bring the latest and best practices for slot operations to the casino and to the state.”
