Hoosier Park Racing & Casino in Anderson, Indiana recently became the first location to offer Texas Tea Pinball, which blends a traditional slot machine with a skill-based pinball mini-game. Vice President of Operations Todd Berendji said, “We’re excited to be the first casino in Indiana to present Texas Tea Pinball, one of IGT’s new skill-enhanced bonus slots. This game creates a lot of fun and excitement, and it’s extremely popular with our guests. We’re thrilled to add this energizing new game to our casino floor.”

IGT’s Texas Tea theme takes the player through “life in the oil fields.” Players enjoy nostalgic pinball action plus classic video game features, with the choice of a free game bonus or the skill-based pinball bonus in which the player’s skill can lead to larger prizes.

While Hoosier Park waited the past year for the Indiana Gaming Commission to approve skill-enhanced gaming, it previewed the Texas Tea Pinball electronic game at Lucas Oil Stadium during Indianapolis Colts home football games. Stadium guests age 21-plus could test their ability and win casino buffet passes, free slot play or free dining credits.

Director of Marketing Partnerships Tony Renz said, “Having the opportunity to promote Texas Tea Pinball in a sporting atmosphere provided a terrific opportunity to market to new gamers and introduce something fresh and exciting to the millennial generation. The Colts crowd really enjoyed playing on the big screens. It was great fun, and we’re happy to have the game on our casino floor. It’s a big hit with our guests.”
