Hooters Casino Sold for $53.8 million

Trinity Hotel Investments of New York on May 1 closed a deal to buy Hooters Casino Hotel in Las Vegas for $53.8 million.

The casino is the first Las Vegas property Trinity owns and is located next to the Tropicana, which Penn National Gaming intends to buy for 0 million.

Trinity invests in and owns hotel properties in the United States, Asia, and Europe and said it likely will change the casino’s name and has entered into partnerships with several hotel operators, including Holiday Inn, Crown Plaza, and DoubleTree by Hilton.

Holiday Inn is expected to operate the casino for Trinity, but not using the Holiday Inn brand, the Las Vegas Sun reported.

Holiday Inn last operated the Boardwalk Casino, which was located where CityCenter now stands.
