Hoover Dam Lodge Could Add to Staff

The Hacienda resort near Boulder City, Nevada is undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation under its new owners, Nevada Restaurant Services, the owner of the Dotty’s chain of slot parlors. When the upgrade is complete, the resort will change its name to Hoover Dam Lodge and possibly hire on several dozen new staffers.

The Hacienda resort near Boulder City, Nevada, now under new ownerships and in the midst of a multimillion-dollar renovation, will have a “northwest lodge feel” when the upgrade is complete, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. It will also have a new name, the Hoover Dam Lodge.

In December Nevada Restaurant Services bought the Hacienda. Owned by the Etsey family, NRS is the parent company of the Dotty’s tavern chain. Ally Etsey, marketing and store development director for Dotty’s, said the property will replace its Mexican theme with a “rustic desert lodge motif” with upgraded fixtures and new in-room amenities.

The Hoover Dam Lodge will have 280 rooms following completion of the initial phase of reconstruction. It also may boost its staff from 99 people to about 125.

In the future, 17 acres across Highway 93 will be developed to include a truck stop/travel center with several food outlets, a convenience store and a gas station.
