The Horseshoe Casino Cleveland, Ohio will close May 10 for nearly two days to transform itself into the Jack Cleveland Casino.
The 40-hour closing will give time for officials to transfer gaming systems from Caesars Entertainment to Jack Entertainment, which was formerly known as Rock Gaming. Jack Entertainment LLC is owned by Dan Gilbert, owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
One of the transitions will be from Caesars Total Rewards program to the ClubJACK loyalty program. Members of the Total Rewards program will be given equivalent values in the new loyalty program. Gaming tables, chips, cards and table covers with the old logos are being jettisoned and replaced with new Jack Casino regalia.
The date was chosen as a time when the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team and the Cleveland Indians baseball team are out of town.
Jack Entertainment’s other properties, the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati and ThistleDown Racino, have also been transformed into Jack Casinos. ThistleDown made the transition on March 9 after being closed for 28 hours.
