On March 24, the Horseshoe Las Vegas, formerly Bally’s, celebrated its grand opening on the Las Vegas Strip after a year-long rebranding process.
As part of the festivities, Jack Binion, whose family founded the Horseshoe brand back in the 1950s, presented a commemorative horseshoe to executives from Caesars Entertainment.
Caesars first acquired the Horseshoe brand back in 2004, and currently operates 10 Horseshoe casinos, including the most recent addition.
“The arrival of Horseshoe on The Strip marks a significant moment for Caesars Entertainment, the Horseshoe name and the entire destination,” Jason Gregorec, senior vice president and general manager of the property, said in a statement. “Not only are we excited for guests to experience the redesigned resort and its latest offerings, but we are also proud to reintroduce the historic gaming brand to Las Vegas.”
Also included in the ceremony was a Q-and-A panel hosted by Jack Effel, vice president of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), featuring famed sports bettor and business man Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, poker legend Doyle Brunson and Jack Binion.
The exterior signage of the property has been redone, in addition to new carpeting and other design elements.
As far as new additions, the revamped casino features the inaugural WSOP Poker Hall of Fame poker hall, a new offering from Chef Martin Yan and a new steakhouse, Jack Binion’s Steak.
