It’s the second big brand—Robert DeNiro’s Nobu is the first—enlisted for the $1.3 billion project, which opens at Entertainment City on Manila Bay later this year.

Melco Crown Resorts, the Philippines-listed subsidiary of Melco Crown Entertainment, has signed up Hyatt Hotels manage one of the three hotels set to open this fall as part of Melco’s US.3 billion City of Dreams Manila megaresort.

“Given the strong Hyatt brand name and the hotel’s ideal location, we believe Hyatt City of Dreams Manila will attract both business and leisure travelers, as well as meeting and incentive groups, from across the region,” MCR Chairman and President Clarence Chung said.

The hotel will feature 365 five-star rooms in two towers. Financial terms were not disclosed.

City of Dreams is the second gaming resort slated to open in October at the government-sponsored Entertainment City district on Manila Bay. It also will sport a 321-room twin-tower Nobu hotel, the first in Asia to carry the famed restaurant brand co-founded by Hollywood screen legend Robert DeNiro and celebrity chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa, and a 260-room luxury hotel operated under Melco’s Crown Towers brand.

City of Dreams Manila is a joint venture between Macau-based Melco and Belle Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Philippines retail giant SM Group.
