The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) is officially calling for speakers at its 2019 Annual Conference to be held in Montego Bay, Jamaica from September 30 to October 3.
This call for speakers follows a hugely successful 2018 conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, where over 230 delegates from 41 countries attended the three-day event based on the theme of “Let’s Make Great Regulation—Together.”
IAGR’s annual conference brings together senior international gambling regulatory leaders as well as industry stakeholders to connect and share knowledge, and to hear from leading experts about known and emerging issues and trends across the industry.
IAGR President Trude Felde said, “Next year’s conference, titled ‘Regulating the Game,’ will focus on how regulators can foster a secure, vibrant, innovative, safe and responsible industry.”
“We’re excited to be building a thought-provoking and impressive speaker lineup for the 2019 conference. We want to provide a mix of keynote presentations, expert interviews and gripping panel discussions.
“It’s an unmatched event in the gambling regulatory calendar, and provides a tremendous opportunity to discuss leading thinking in regulatory policy and practice, and access international perspectives and insights.”
IAGR is calling for expressions of interest from:
• gaming regulators
• gaming technology companies and associations
• legal professionals
• researchers
• gambling support and advocacy groups
Felde added, “As gaming regulation is becoming so broad, we’d like to see submissions about everything from blockchain and cryptocurrency to advances in how regulators can minimize gambling-related harm.”
Interested speakers need to submit abstracts to IAGR by February 1. IAGR will notify selected speakers and participants in early March.
