ICE Celebrates 20 Years

February’s ICE Totally Gaming trade show in London will mark the event’s 20th anniversary as a stand-=alone exhibition.

“It’s fitting that so many gaming professionals from so many countries will be celebrating the 20th birthday of what has become the world’s favorite gaming exhibition,” said Kate Chambers, ICE portfolio director for show producer Clarion Gaming. “There can be few other commercial institutions capable of attracting over 20,000 well-wishers from 100-plus countries to what will be a fantastic three-day celebration of everything that gaming has to offer, embracing both the online and the land-based worlds.”

ICE organizers have announced that many of gaming’s most influential trade associations and representative bodies have confirmed their attendance at next year’s exhibition, which will take place at the ExCel Centre in London.

“While the primary function of an international event such as ICE is based around the commercial exchange of new products and services, the exchange of knowledge, information and ideas have become increasingly important. It has been well-documented that most, if not all of gaming’s transformational products have been launched at ICE.”

ICE, original an acronym for International Casino Exhibition, was originally a part of the Amusement Trades Exhibition, a larger amusement industry trade show. After the gaming portion of the show grew, it was established as a separate casino gaming trade show in 1995. February’s event will be the third show at the ExCel Centre, after 10 years at central London’s Earls Court.
