ICE to Host First Tribal Gaming Seminar

ICT Totally Gaming will host its first Tribal Gaming Seminar, a free-to-attend session in partnership with Pechanga.net founder Victor Rocha.

Organizers of the upcoming ICE Totally Gaming show, to be held at London’s ExCel Centre February 4-6, announced the format and content for the first Tribal Gaming Seminar. The free session, to be held Wednesday, February 5, is being stated in partnership with Victor Rocha, founder and CEO of Pechanga.net.

The seminar will deal with issues including an historical overview of tribal gaming, a tribal perspective on internet gaming, a focus on California, how to partner with tribes, and the misconceptions about tribal versus commercial gaming.

“A business success in the Indian Country requires an understanding of tribal sovereignty,” said Ewa Bakun, spokeswoman for ICE producer Clarion Gaming, “which dictates the decisions made by tribal governments, gaming commissions and casinos. With more and more tribes attending ICE and Clarion’s other European events, we felt there was scope to create a platform for them to both educate the global industry on the intricacies of doing business in the Indian Country and to network with the iGaming experts to explore potential partnership opportunities.

“With the tribal governments exploring strategies to adopt iGaming as the U.S. opens up, ICE, the world’s largest gaming event, is an ideal place for the international community to understand the opportunities for collaboration with this lucrative and evolving industry, which is known to few outside North America.”

Tribal Gaming is one of the free-to-attend seminars taking place at ICE Totally Gaming. It is open to everyone upon an RSVP to ewa.bakun@clarionevents.com.
