ICE to Host Launch of ICE Africa

The ICE Totally Gaming trade show in London will host the official launch of ICE Africa, an exhibition and education conference to take place in October.

The ICE Totally Gaming trade show February 6-8 at London’s ExCeL Centre, now also known as ICE London as producer Clarion Gaming extends the brand, will host the launch of one its first brand extension, ICE Africa, on the first day of the London show.

The official launch of ICE Africa will be held at an invitation-only event at ExCeL London’s Pyramid Bar. The sister show will be held in October.

ICE Africa, which will comprise an exhibition and co-located ICE VOX-style conference dedicated to the development of the domestic industry, marks the first occasion the ICE brand has been extended beyond its London home. The launch reception will provide an opportunity to network with industry leaders and international stakeholders who have a mutual interest in the successful development of a sustainable gaming industry in Africa.

“While the scale of ICE Africa will not be the same as ICE London, we will be bringing the same level of commitment, thinking, creativity and professionalism that has made ICE London the world’s favorite B2B gaming event,” said Kate Chambers, managing director of Clarion Gaming. “There has already been a significant uptake for the launch reception, where attendees can participate in key conversations and build important working relationships with the stakeholders of key African regions during their time at ICE London.

“We launched in Africa following requests from the industry for us to develop and organize a professional showcase that the continent could be proud of. Similarities with ICE will be based around the standards of organization, of content and of professionalism that we are bringing to this new event brand. While there is huge growth in Africa, it takes many decades of nurturing to develop an event anywhere close to the scale of ICE, which in 2018 will comprise over 500 exhibitors occupying 43,500 square meters of net space.”
