iGNA Show Boasts Strong Lineup

This week’s iGaming Conference of North America at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas featu8res an innovative series of new formats.

This week’s iGaming Conference of North America, the official trade event of the iGaming North America trade association, features innovative new formats and seminars showcasing the latest trends and issues in the emerging internet gaming markets. Among the unique aspects of this year’s show:

Regulation Session

Of note is the emphasis on regulation, as a Closed Door, Regulators Only session will be held at the onset of the conferences. The theme is Balancing the Needs of Consumers, Governments and Licensed Operators in a Regulated Framework. This is an essential issue because the priorities of all seem to come into conflict or shift in terms of primary focus as different social issues and legal issues affect the progress of the regulatory process in different global regions.

Fantasy Sports Leagues

Another important issue related to online gambling is the proliferation of fantasy sports leagues, players and participation across the United States, in a region where sports betting is federally prohibited and states have been reluctant to adapt online gambling legislation otherwise. The means by which fantasy sports has become an outlet and possible guiding principle upon which to adapt further online gambling across American law is the subject of the panel discussion The Daily Fantasy Sports Revolution.

Payment Processing and the State of the States

Another intriguing panel discussion is the Payment Processing Panel, and the State of the States. Payment processing mechanisms go a long way to making online gambling accessible to large markets, and are part of the competitive features which online gambling sites can offer.

The spread of online gambling across the United States is prominent because states have been slow to adopt online gambling registration, despite demonstrated benefits in Nevada and New Jersey. Further, federal statutes such as the RAWA—Restoration of the Wire Act—could sill cloud the possibility for acceptance of online gambling federally. The iGaming Industry’s professionals need to have a firm grip on the current realities of the situation.

Speakers

A host of expert speakers will participate in workshops as well, including Itsik Akiva, Headway Consulting founder; GTECH Products and Services President Renato Ascoli; Amaya CEO David Baazov; and BolaVerde Media Group Director Mark Balestra. This is just the beginning of along list of current speakers with more to be added.

The iGaming North America show will be held tomorrow through Thursday at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
