IGT Expands in Peru, Greece

IGT has delivered new slots and systems to Peru’s Masaris Corporation, and a multi-faceted system solution for Greece’s Regency Entertainment Group.

Leading slot manufacturer International Game Technology announced it has expanded its relationship with Peru-based operator Masaris Corporation to deliver new slots and systems from the product lines inherited from the former GTECH., and has secured a multi-faceted system agreement with Greece’s Regency Entertainment Group.

Those include the first Peru installation of Bejeweled 3D, using the company’s groundbreaking True 3D technology, at Masaris’ Palacio Royal casino, and as the IGT Galaxis casino management system, being installed at the operator’s Royal Slot casino.

“IGT’s relationship with Masaris Corporation continues to grow,” said Jessica Luna, IGT sales director. “It is very exciting to have IGT’s Bejeweled 3D game enter the Peru market and to see Masaris Corporation commit to another Galaxis system installation.”

Housed on the AXXIS cabinet, Bejeweled 3D is an award-winning, four-level progressive title that delivers glasses-free 3D graphics. It features a cascading four-by-five symbol set with both horizontal and vertical win combinations.

Earlier this year, Masaris Corporation was the first operator in Peru to introduce IGT’s globally successful True 3D title Sphinx 3D at four of its casinos in Peru.

The Galaxis system is IGT’s powerful casino management tool designed to help operators streamline operations; attract, reward and retain players; and drive ROI. The Royal Slot system is IGT’s 28th Galaxis system installation at a Masaris-run property.

“We are very excited to introduce additional IGT games and systems to our casinos,” said Ricardo Mustafá, managing director of Masaris. “Following the immensely successful introduction of the Sphinx 3D game, we are confident that our players will be drawn to IGT’s Bejeweled 3D game. Similarly, we have had great success with IGT’s Galaxis system at several of our other properties, and know it will be a welcomed tool for the team at Royal Slot.”

Meanwhile, Regency Entertainment Group in Greece has agreed to deploy a suite of IGT systems solutions, including Casinolink 2.0, Media Manager, Mobile Host and Mobile Responder systems, connecting more than 1,500 slot machines at Regency Casino Mont Parnes and Regency Casino Thessaloniki.

IGT’s Casinolink 2.0 system will enable Regency to streamline accounting processes and patron rewards systems between its properties. The operator will utilize several Casinolink 2.0 system add-ons, including XtraCredit and PointPlay bonusing applications, and IGT’s Advanced Marketing Interface feature, connecting its preferred player-communication channels to Casinolink 2.0 system data and providing players with real-time loyalty club account details.

Through IGT’s Media Manager, the operator can communicate directly with patrons while they are playing slots machines and via IGT’s Mobile Host and Mobile Responder, Regency will have the freedom to maximize EGM uptime and elevate customer service through mobile devices.

“As a leading gaming and entertainment provider in Greece, our players look to us to deliver the most thrilling and sophisticated gaming experiences in the market,” said Ian Gosling, Regency Entertainment COO. “We are confident that IGT’s systems solutions will enable us to increase player excitement and loyalty while operating efficiently.”

Walter Bugno, IGT CEO International, added, “We are pleased that Regency Entertainment Group has once again turned to IGT as its trusted systems partner. IGT’s deep understanding of Greece’s gaming market, coupled with our longstanding relationship with Regency Entertainment Group, uniquely qualified us to work side-by-side with this customer to identify the ideal suite of systems products that will allow for seamless player interactions and optimal operating efficiencies.”
