IGT will award the 2015 scholarships at the annual IGT Public Gaming Roundtable in Cleveland, Ohio. Applicants pursuing all forms of education are eligible, including, but not limited to, accredited higher education institutions, continuing education for working professionals and trade schools.

“IGT has always been committed to supporting education-enriching programs,” said Tim Shortall, IGT’s vice president of Eastern Region sales. “The Jerry Young Scholarship Awards program is a great way to give back to our partners in the public gaming sector but also to remember Jerry, whose legacy as an IGT employee will always be remembered.”

IGT is the only company to launch a public gaming scholarship program. Eligible applicants include employees or family members of an employee currently working for a government regulatory or operational gaming entity from a U.S. or Canadian public gaming jurisdiction, with which IGT has a current relationship.
