IGT Signs Latvia System Deal

IGT has signed an agreement to provide casino management and ticket-in/ticket-out systems at 50 slot halls of DLV Latvia, linking 1,000 machines.

Leading slot manufacturer International Game Technology announced that it has signed an agreement with operator DLV to install IGT systems in 50 slot halls throughout Latvia over the next two years, connecting approximately 1,000 machines in locations throughout the country.

With first installations scheduled this month, DLV plans to leverage IGT Casinolink, Medialink and EZ Pay systems to maximize efficiency and player engagement through improved accounting with jackpot and player management technologies.  The agreement also marks the introduction of the IGT Xtra Credit systems module to the European market, enabling easy deployment of promotional awards while increasing play time.

“This significant systems installation throughout multiple DLV properties in Latvia provides an excellent example of IGT’s position as a global leader in wide-area casino management systems deployments,” said Ian Baynes, regional vice president – Europe, Middle East & Africa for IGT. “Other vendors have tried, but were not able to deliver the comprehensive technology and quality that should enable DLV to dramatically enhance its patron offerings while greatly improving its operating efficiencies and control.”

“We chose IGT systems because Casinolink provides a proven multi-site modular system that offers DLV enhanced management controls and the ability to offer our players the very best promotions and bonuses, which in turn should drive more play,” added DLV founder and Chairman Mihails Volokotkins. “We also value our great relationship with IGT, and look forward to working together and introducing further exciting innovations together in Latvia.”
