Delaware North has signed an agreement making International Gaming Technology (IGT) its sports betting provider at two West Virginia casinos: the Mardi Gras Casino in Nitro and the Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack. The re-launch of the retail sportsbooks took place on January 30, just in time for the Super Bowl.

“We are so pleased to reopen our sportsbooks at both West Virginia casinos,” said Kim Florence, president and general manager of Wheeling Island. “We’re looking forward to welcoming back our valued guests by providing reliable, best-in-class sports betting experiences.”

Previous vendor Miomni Gaming’s contract dispute with a third-party technology supplier closed down sports betting at the two tracks during the height of last year’s NCAA basketball tournament. Buffalo, New York-based Delaware North later terminated its contract with Miomni.
