Offshore casino operator Golden Globe Hotels has applied to the Bombay High Court for a jetty off the coast of Goa to operate feeder boats for its casino boat, MV San Domino.

According to the Asia Gaming Brief, the application was originally meant for MV Lucky Seven, which grounded after hitting a sandbar last July. MV San Domino has been designated to operate the offshore casino while Lucky Seven undergoes repairs.

Golden Globe has told the court that it intends to start its operations this month after the vessel is refurbished.

In recent years, successive administrations in Goa have discussed relocating the state’s offshore casinos off the Mandovi River. The deadlines to move have always been extended, and last year a new boat was added. The MV Lucky Seven, which brought the fleet to six vessels, ran out of luck when it stranded off the coast of Miramar during monsoon season.
