The former Indiana Grand Racing & Casino in Shelbyville recently was rebranded as Horseshoe Indianapolis Racing & Casino. It’s Caesars Entertainment’s second Horseshoe-branded facility in Indiana, along with Horseshoe Hammond.
The property recently completed a $33.7 million expansion and renovation, including expanding the gaming floor by 25,000 square feet and adding a 5,000-square-foot, 20-table World Series of Poker Room, Brew Brothers restaurant, 20-seat video poker bar, new table games, slots and gaming chairs and new design elements. The project created more than 100 new jobs.
Dan Nita, Caesars Entertainment regional president, said, “The Horseshoe brand was founded on the commitment to making it right for the gambler, focused on service and dedicated to our guests. We look forward to celebrating this next chapter in central Indiana with Horseshoe.”
Horseshoe Indianapolis Senior Vice President and General Manager Steve Jarmuz added, “Being able to link our property and services to the Horseshoe brand will enhance the gaming, racing, dining and entertainment experience for our guests. The addition of the World Series of Poker Room coupled with our Caesars Race and Sportsbook gives our guests a unique menu of gaming opportunities, all located on one floor.”
Caesars acquired Indiana Grand racetrack and casino from Centaur Gaming in 2018.
