Coming soon to the Four Winds South Bend in Indiana: a new 23-story hotel tower with 317 rooms, including 83 suites. The tower adjoins a casino operated by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi.

Additional amenities will include the new Cedar Spa, the Edgewater Café, the Ribbon Town Conference and Event Center, a third-floor outdoor swimming pool and “terraces with spectacular views.”

“March 1 will mark the culmination of a nearly two and a half year journey to realize our vision to expand Four Winds South Bend,” said Rebecca Richards, tribal chairwoman of the Pokagon Band. “We have so many people to thank that helped make this dream a reality … We can’t wait for our Pokagon citizens, as well as every guest, to experience the new facility.”

Frank Freedman, chief operating officer of Four Winds Casino, said, “The anticipation has been building as we’ve been focused on completing the interior features and finishes. From the design, use of materials and attention to detail, Four Winds South Bend offers a premium feel you’ll find at top resorts. …. Whether you’re visiting for entertainment or business, we look forward to welcoming you to enjoy a first-class experience.”

The Times of Northwestern Indiana reported that the hotel is directly connected to Indiana’s only tribal casino, which offers 1,900 slot machines—more than any of the 12 commercial casinos in the state—along with video poker and table games.

Two other regional casinos have attached hotels: Ameristar Casino in East Chicago and Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City. The Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana in Gary, which opened in 2021, also plans to add a hotel.
