India’s Courts Look at Online Card Games

India’s Supreme Court is examining if various online card sites operating in the country are gambling or games of skill. Online gambling is not allowed in the country.

Indian online rummy and card game sits involving stakes are being looked at by judges of the country’s Supreme Court in that country.

Indian law prohibits gambling, but operators of the sites say the card games are games of skill and not chance.

Several providers offer the games saying they simply provide a service for players for a small fee and do not profit off the games.
