Inspire integrated resort at South Korea’s Incheon International is expected to open by 2022, according to an update from Korea NewsWorld.
A project of the U.S.-based Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, Inspire will include a six-star hotel, theme park, retail corridor and foreigners-only casino; it’s expected to create 15,000 new jobs for the airport and 28,000 construction jobs.
In 2018, the Incheon International Airport Corp. signed a deal for the development deal with Inspire Integrated Resort and Paramount Pictures to develop the resort. The special purpose company was established by MGTA, which held a 70 percent stake, and Korean firm KCC, which held a 30 percent stake. KCC withdrew from the project, and MTGA is now the sole developer and stakeholder, NewsWorld reported.
The project comes with a price tag of 1.5 trillion won (US$1.3 billion).
