Inspired to Begin Greek VLT Rollout

Following the announcement of formal regulations, Inspired Gaming is preparing to roll out its video lottery terminal cabinets in Greece, in partnership with Greek gaming operator OPAP.

London-based Inspired Gaming Group announced that it is preparing to begin its rollout of video lottery terminal cabinets in the Greek market in conjunction with Greek betting and lottery operator OPAP.

Following the formal announcement of new VLT regulations by the Hellenic Gaming Commission, OPAP has deemed that all appropriate conditions are now in place to allow it to restart plans for the operation of VLT products in Greece.

Inspired is one of four VLT suppliers to OPAP, and will commence rollout of 3,960 VLT cabinets across the extensive OPAP retail network in 2017.

OPAP holds an exclusive 10-year license to operate in Greece, and Inspired will be one of its few suppliers.

“Inspired is delighted by this week’s announcement that a fully regulated VLT operation is now in place in Greece,” said Luke Alvarez, CEO of Inspired Gaming Group. “This news will enable us to commence the rollout of our VLT cabinets in 2017—a significant and exciting moment both for the landscape of the gaming market in Greece and for Inspired. We are proud to be one of only four suppliers to OPAP, one of Europe’s most established and respected operators, and look forward to a successful and long-term business partnership.”
