The Idaho Lottery has named Intralot Inc. to provide gaming system services for the state lottery. The ten-year contract will run through 2027, with an option to extend it for two more five-year terms.
The announcement of Intralot as “apparent successful vendor,” comes after a long competitive bidding process. The contract calls for Intralot to be paid $60 million for its secure central gaming system that can accommodate all currently available lottery games, including Draw Games and Scratch Games. This continues a service that Intralot has been providing the state since 2007.
Idaho Lottery Director Jeff Anderson commented, “This decision allows us the opportunity to improve our technology, provide quality services to our players and retailers, and continue protecting the security and integrity of our games here in the Gem State. There has been a tremendous amount of work and research done by all the parties involved during the process. I express my sincere gratitude to the members of the evaluation team for their conscientious work that resulted in this recommendation and to our valued industry colleagues who all seriously came to the table to earn Idaho’s business.”
Intralot interim CEO Nikos Nikolakopoulos added his own comments: “We are happy and honored to have submitted the most competitive offer and to have the opportunity to continue to provide our services to our valued client. Since our first awarded contract, we have had excellent and productive cooperation with the lottery team. We are looking forward to building further on our experience and our trusted relation by means of an enhanced products and services offering that meets the modern era needs of the Idaho Lottery and helps our client generate stronger returns for the Good Causes it supports while promoting and serving the principles of Responsible Gaming.”
