IPI Trudges Toward Finish Line

Imperial Pacific International’s eponymous casino resort on the island of Saipan is only 69 percent complete, though the deadline to finish will occur later this month. The company has requested an extension to December, blaming a lack of legal workers, according to the Saipan Tribune.

Speaking to the Commonwealth Casino Commission, Eric Poon, IPI’s vice president for construction, said “Everything is moving forward and on target to complete by the end of this year. We put in another 10 percent in the resort hotel’s building façade. But for us, this is not fast enough; hopefully, we can improve it in the near future.”
