Isle of Man Names Mills e-Business Director

e-Business veteran Jonathan Mills has been named director of e-Business for the Isle of Man. Mills has started a successful e-Business and held numerous chief executive positions in the industry. The Isle of Man, a recognized e-Gaming global center, employs 1,600 people in e-Business which represents 25 percent of the island's national income.

The Isle of Man recently appointed 30-year e-Business veteran Jonathan Mills as director of e-Business. Mills has held several chief executive positions in e-Business and has started a successful e-Business as well as helped existing businesses to grow.

Alf Cannan MHK, the department member overseeing e-Business, said, “I am delighted that we have been able to attract someone of the caliber and experience of Jonathan Mills to this key role. The Isle of Man’s economic plan Vision2020 identified e-Business as the sector offering most growth potential and Jonathan will be playing a key role in helping the Isle of Man exploit these opportunities to enable further growth in jobs and in the Island’s reputation as a leading international business center.”

Mills added, “I feel privileged to have been offered this role and will be working closely with Isle of Man businesses and investors to continue to grow existing businesses as well as attract new enterprises to the Island.”

Currently e-Business represents 25 percent of the Isle of Man’s national income and employs 1,600 people. The island is well established as a global center for e-Gaming and has a growing reputation in the Information and Communication Technology sector, especially in digital currencies and blockchain technology.
