Italian Casinos to Require Proof of Vaccine

People wanting to enter Italian casinos and bingo halls will have to show proof of immunity against the Covid-19 virus by way of a Green Pass. The measure will become effective on August 6.

The pass will confirm that the bearer has received at least one vaccine dose in the previous nine months, tested negative for the virus in the past 48-hour period or has recovered from Covid-19 in the last six months.

“The Green Pass is essential if we want to keep businesses open,” said Prime Minister Mario Draghi. “The vaccine campaign permitted the economy to revive. The first thing I have to say is to invite all Italians to get vaccinated and to do it right away.”
