Driven by the end of the Italian soccer season, Italy’s sports betting revenues increased nearly 50 percent in May after an unexpected decline in April.

The iGaming market revenue rose to €328.5 million ($389 million) in May, a 14 percent jump from the month before and 94 percent higher than a year ago when the market was in the midst of Covid-19.

After two months of decline, the market rebounded, leading the gaming market upwards in May.
