Detroit-based JACK Entertainment recently announced several promotions within its management team.
Former Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief Innovation Officer Brian Eby has been named executive vice president of corporate operations and chief innovation officer. Eby will oversee the corporate departments of human resources, information technology, innovation, gaming, design and construction, food and beverage and home office administration. Eby brought more than 20 years of commercial gaming and hospitality experience across eight jurisdictions in six states to JACK Entertainment when he joined the company in 2014.
Former Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Darlene Monzo has been promoted to executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Monzo will oversee corporate communications, public relations and social media in addition to responsibility for all marketing related efforts within the company. Monzo, a 30-year gaming industry veteran, joined JACK Entertainment in 2015.
Former Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Glen Tomaszewski has been promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer. He will oversee accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis and investor relations. A 20-year veteran of the finance industry, Tomaszewski joined JACK Entertainment’s management team in 2015.
Also, Senior Vice President and General Manager of JACK Cincinnati Casino Chad Barnhill has been promoted to senior vice president of regional operations. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations at JACK Cincinnati Casino, Barnhill also will supervise Greektown Casino-Hotel in downtown Detroit and at the Turfway Park thoroughbred horse racetrack in northern Kentucky. A 20-year gaming industry veteran, Barnhill joined JACK Entertainment in 2012. Jason Gregorec will continue as Greektown general manager.

Meanwhile, Greektown Casino-Hotel in Detroit is being rebranded and undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation. The property’s name will change to JACK Detroit Casino-Hotel on May 1. Formerly Rock Gaming LLC, JACK Entertainment, part of Dan Gilbert’s Rock Ventures LLC, purchased Greektown in 2013. JACK Entertainment also operates JACK Cleveland Casino and JACK Thistledown Racino, a thoroughbred racetrack facility near Cleveland.
