Jacobs to Leave LVS

The Las Vegas Sands Corp. has revealed that Lawrence Jacobs will step down on September 29 from his position as the operator’s executive vice president, global general counsel and secretary.

Jacobs has been responsible for the leadership and oversight of the operator’s legal affairs around the world since 2016, when he was named executive vice president and general counsel and secretary.

Jacobs’ departure was disclosed in a filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

“The position of executive vice president, global general counsel and secretary will be assumed by D. Zachary Hudson on September 30, 2019,” said Las Vegas Sands. “Mr. Jacobs will assist with the transition in an advisory capacity.”

Hudson is currently the general counsel of Afiniti Inc., a developer of artificial intelligence software based in the United States. He was previously an attorney with Bancroft PLLC, and had also served as a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.
