Janovitch, Finocchiaro Assume New Posts at Potawatomi

Janovitch, Finocchiaro Assume New Posts at Potawatomi

Two new executives have been named at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee. Kerry Janovitch has been promoted to chief financial officer, and Garret Finocchiaro has joined the property as its first chief information officer.

Janovitch has spent the last seven years as accounting director at Potawatomi. She joined the business in 2015 after spending a number of years as a financial leader in the Pacific Northwest hospitality and entertainment industry. In all, she has spent 27 years in tribal gaming and hospitality.

“Kerry is a creative, open-minded leader that believes in challenging the status quo to drive results,” said Potawatomi Hotel & Casino CEO and General Manager Dominic Ortiz. “Her leadership will help us build an entertainment destination revered by our competitors and celebrated by the people of Milwaukee.”

Finocchiaro has 35 years of experience in technology and data management. He spent the last 10 years as director of IT operations and support at Oneida Nations Enterprises in Verona, New York, overseeing technical services for four casinos, including its flagship property, Turning Stone Resort & Casino; three sports books; five hotel properties; 40 food and beverage venues; and a number of other amenities.

“Garret is an experienced, high-level casino executive with a proven track record of success,” said Ortiz. “He has helped tribal nations build a forward-thinking mindset with long-term strategic insights into technology and security.
