JCM Global CEO Yojiro Kamihigashi has appointed longtime executive Hikaru “Terry” Izawa as the company’s new president, pending any necessary regulatory approvals. Izawa will be based in the company’s Las Vegas offices.
“Today I am honored to name Hikaru Izawa president of JCM Global,” Kamihigashi said. “He has been a dedicated JCM engineer and leader for several decades, and has helped the company achieve great success. I am hopeful our customers around the world will welcome him and will allow him to prove himself to them.”
Izawa has had a long career with JCM, joining then-Japan Cash Machine in 1985, He most recently headed the company’s Research and Development Division.
Izawa’s first task at JCM was to design and develop the company’s first bill validator in the late 1980s. Other notable successes include the establishment of JCM’s overseas production facility for bill validators in China in 1995, and overseeing direct customer interfacing during the development of JCM’s multiple award-winning UBA bill validator.
He was appointed chief operating officer in 2006, and was appointed to the board of directors in 2008.
