Kathy George Leads FireKeepers

FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan, owned by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, named Kathy George chief executive officer. George joined FireKeepers in 2012 and has served as the casino's general manager and vice president of hotel operations. She replaced Brian Decorah who left the operation in March.

Kathy George was named chief executive officer at FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan, announced Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Tribal Council Chairperson Jamie Stuck. George replaces Brian Decorah who left the casino in March.

George previously served as the casino’s general manager and vice president of hotel operations. She joined FireKeepers in 2012 after holding a variety of roles in casinos and hotels across the U.S., including Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and Seneca Gaming Corporation. George holds a bachelor’s degree in hotel administration from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.

Stuck said George “has been instrumental in building FireKeepers’ stellar reputation,” due to her focus on customer satisfaction and “superior leadership.”

“It is an honor to be selected to lead the FireKeepers Casino Hotel team as CEO. The entire FireKeepers Casino Hotel team is committed to being the casino of choice and I look forward to the opportunity to continue this and help lead us into our bright future,” George commented.
