Kazakhstan To Ban Outdoor Gambling Machines

Gambling machines must move indoors under proposed legislation in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The proposed law states gambling areas inside casinos must offer at least 60 gambling machines. The draft legislation authors stated uncontrolled development of gambling "can cause harm to the society." Current law doesn't require gambling machines to be located inside casinos.

Gambling machines may not be located outside a gambling parlor under proposed changes to laws in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Draft legislation reads, “A gambling area must be located inside casinos with at least 60 gambling machines inside one parlor.” Current law does not require gambling machines to be located inside casinos.

The proposed law also states, “The task of state regulation of gambling business in difference from other spheres of economy, is not development stimulation, but satisfaction of minimal demand of people for gambling games through permission of gambling in restricted volume and controlled by the state. Gambling machines in the theory of legal regulation of gambling in the developed states are referred to most socially dangerous types of gambling activity.”

Furthermore, the authors of the draft legislation stated uncontrolled development of gambling “can cause harm to the society.”
