Konami’s Concerto Successful in Peru

A year after Konami Gaming’s Concerto video slot cabinet was deployed in the casinos of Peru, operators are remarking about how successful the launch has been and adding more machines each day

One year ago, Konami Gaming, Inc.’s Concerto video slot cabinet arrived in the nation of Peru—first to top casino locations in Lima and quickly expanding across the area.

Since then, the new machine and original KP3+ platform game themes have achieved strong success in the region, receiving praise from casino players and operators alike. Konami’s exclusive distributor for Peru, Pacific Gaming S.A., worked in close collaboration with operators for Concerto’s launch, and has seen clear pattern of momentum for the new standard upright design.

“This cabinet looks superb, the big screens capture your attention, and the games are incredibly engaging,” Pacific Gaming representative Julio Matusima said, “Concerto has demonstrated proven performance for Peruvian markets, and is potentially the best product Konami has ever introduced to the region.”

From the initial debut games such as Chili Chili Fire and Dragon’s Law Twin Fever, to subsequent releases like White Cats, and even backwards compatible KP3 platform games including Dragon’s Law and Solstice Celebration, Concerto has developed a track record of performance in Peru that rivals the success of its predecessor, Podium. This year’s addition of Concerto SeleXion multi-game to the market has seen exceptional response. Able to host up to 10 games on a single machine as well as a variety of progressive game options, Concerto SeleXion has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from operators in the region.

Through the rest of the year, Konami has outlined an aggressive pipeline of international game themes, including an all-new linked progressive called Smash Smash Festival and several unique standalone progressives.

“As Concerto continues to expand across Peru, we’re pleased to support the market with a variety of creative game options,” said Eduardo Aching, vice president of international sales at Konami. “By delivering an immersive gaming experience and leveraging proven game play mechanics enjoyed by players, Concerto has done exceptionally well across Latin America for our customers.”
